Link Sticker

LINK STICKER

 Instagram have made the link sticker accessible to EVERYONE! When the link sticker was first rolled out it was only available to those accounts that were verified or had at least 10k followers, now the link sticker is available for everyone to use regardless of follower count. When the link sticker had first been rolled out, Instagram did say that they would think about making the sticker accessible to all Instagram users…and it finally happened! This is especially amazing for those small businesses that don’t have a large following as they can utilise the sticker for more sales!

 For anyone that isn’t sure what the link sticker is, it replaced the swipe up feature where you would swipe up to be taken to an external page. Instead the link sticker is added to the story as any normal sticker would be, and viewers can simply tap on the sticker to be redirected to the page.

The reasons Instagram have added a link sticker is because stickers are a really popular feature and seem to fit in with the style of content produced by users, allowing them to have more creative control over the way their stories will look. It allows users to change the format of the sticker such as resizing, placement and different styles of the sticker.

 To add a Link sticker:

• Capture or upload content to your story
• Tap the Sticker icon (smiley face) at the top
• Click URL, add a link and select done
• Place the sticker on your story and tap on the sticker to see colour styles
